How Elementor Pro Theme Builder Works

Using the same Elementor interface, you can create the header, footer, single templates, and archive templates. All this is made possible by the concept of global templates offered by Elementor 2.0. Here is a step by step process to create a template.

Creating custom header and footer

This is how you can create a standard kind of header that has the company logo and the main menu.

Go to “Elementor” and then “My Templates” and then click on “Add New”. You will see a dialogue box titled “Choose Template Type” open. Select “Header” from the different options you find and choose the type of template you wish to create. You can thus work on the header, footer, single post page or archive page.

When you have chosen the type of template you wish to create, you will find a list of blocks displayed which can suit the type of content given. You can either select a predesigned block for the header or build the entire menu from the scratch yourself. On the top of the page layout, you will find a newly created header.

Customizing the header

Click on “Choose Your Image” and choose the company logo from the gallery for the template to embed the company logo on the website. Choose where you want the logo to be placed. You can also choose on which pages you want the logo to be displayed and on which pages you do not want to see it.

Work on what you wish to see on the header. You can choose to have one header for the home page and another for the other pages.

Customizing the Footer

Go to the template named “Footer” and select a footer from the given list of options. You can work on the color and text label of the footer. As you did for the header, you can also choose to display the footer for the entire website or for a set of given pages.

Designing a single post for a blog

For creating a single blog post, choose the template named “Single” you can adjust the template if you want. A single post featured dynamic widgets that can draw the content from the pages where you have applied them. You will find these widgets by going to the “Elements” Panel and then “Theme Elements”. You can use the Preview mode to see how the single post looks on different posts. To check how the result will appear, fill the template with the content of your site.
