Following our preview of these sneakers last week, here’s a more comprehensive look at the new Gel Saga II from Asics and London sneaker boutique Foot Patrol. The sneaker takes its inspiration from natural materials; wood, metal and rubber, references that you can clearly see, starting at the gum sole and working your way up to the brown, wood-inspired upper. Unique in their asymmetrically, the shoes feature a 3M reflective material under the ASICS stripes on the lateral side, while on the medial side the striping are switched to reveal a full 3M stripe. The Foot Patrol Gas Mask logo sits on the right heel, while ASICS branding occupies the left. The Gel Saga II’s will be released exclusively at Foot PAtrol’s Berwick Street location in London at 10am on Saturday, 22, September and come with two sets of additional laces and a dust bag. The first hundred pairs also come with a limited edition wooden box. A global release is slated for September 29.
